At this time when we would normally be gearing up for our Summer Food Program to help needy families served by Linkages to Learning at Kemp Mill Elementary School, those plans and others are unfortunately “on hold” due to the current health crisis. However, we have found ANOTHER way to partner with Linkages to Learning to help families in this time of great need. It’s a “Drive-By” Collection!
Bring any of the items listed below at the church entrance on Friday, May 8 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. To keep your distance, place the donations in your back seat or your trunk, and we’ll have folks ready to retrieve them safely. If you do get out of your car to deposit your donations in the available bins, please practice social distancing and wear a face mask or covering.
- Gift Cards: Grocery/Target/Walmart
- Laundry Detergent
- Hand & Body Soap
- Toothbrushes/Toothpaste
- Diapers/Baby Wipes
- Toilet Paper
- Paper Towels
- Disinfectant wipes and/or any disinfectant item
We understand that some of these items are in short supply and may be difficult to find. No need to go “above & beyond” to get them. Just keep the needs in mind as you shop for yourself at local stores or online, and we’ll trust the Lord to provide as we do the best we can with what we find!
