St. Paul writes, “If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.” Romans 14:8
Together with her family, friends, students and colleagues, we mourn the tragic deaths of Laura Elizabeth Wallen and her unborn son, Reid. And together with them, we will celebrate our Lord’s victory over death, give thanks for countless blessings received through Laura’s bright and shining spirit, and commend her and her child into the arms of God where they are forever secure and filled with everlasting joy.
The funeral service for Laura and Reid will take place on Saturday, September 30 at 11:00 am at The Lutheran Church of St. Andrew. All are welcome. Beyond St. Andrew’s lots, overflow parking will be available at Peoples Community Baptist Church, Heritage Christian Church, the Muslim Community Center, and St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Church, all of which are a short walk from the church. Parking attendants in each of those locations will be available to direct and assist guests.
