Common Ground will return for a Winter Session online via Zoom video conferencing on Wednesday evenings, January 13, January 27, and February 3. All sessions will begin promptly at 7:00 pm.
- Wednesday, January 13 – Privilege: Do I have It? And If I Do, What Can I Do With It?
St. Andrew members Stan Jackson and Gary Fields will lead a discussion about White privilege in American society, including what it is, what our reaction to it should be as Christians, and how we can use it to address and combat racism.
- Wednesday, January 27 – Created & Called to be Caretakers of the Earth
Join Pastor Bob Mordhorst for a review of God’s call in scripture to be actively involved in caring for the earth and seeking to reverse activities that threaten its inhabitants and future. In this session, we will review the Biblical foundations for our role as caretakers of God’s creation and reflect on ways we can exercise our responsibility as an act of worship.
- Wednesday, February 3 – Discovering Your Spiritual Temperament
Spiritual temperament refers to the way each of us personally relates to God best and most naturally. Spiritual temperament is part of how we are uniquely created, and it influences where and how we most often sense God speaking to us, refreshing us, and stirring our passion for Him. In this session, St. Andrew member, psychologist, and Concordia Seminary professor emeritus Pastor Bruce Hartung will help us identify differing spiritual temperaments in ways that can bless our relationships and strengthen our ministry.
Please register NO LATER THAN TUESDAY in order to receive a Zoom invitation to join that Wednesday. Zoom invitations will be emailed to all registrants on Wednesday morning for that evening’s event.
