Passing the Torch: Reaching Millennials with the Gospel – Millennials are turning away from the church at a rate faster than any other generation. Yet, the overwhelming majority of these religiously-unaffiliated young people say they still believe in God. Let’s explore why this generation feels “left behind” by its religious institutions, and how people of faith might engage them and help pass the torch of the Gospel forward. Lessons from the Life of Job – God praised Job for his faith and commitment in the face of unimaginable loss.  Even so, Job had much yet to learn through those challenging circumstances about himself and about the ways of God, and his story can be an encouragement to us in the face of tough times.. Futures Task Force Update: 2nd Site Development & Amharic Worship – Come to learn about the process, research, decisions and next steps for two of the ministry initiatives that have been under consideration by the Futures Task Force and Board of Directors. The first session will cover the 2nd Site Development initiative, and the second session will offer an update on Amharic ministry and worship at St. Andrew. Funeral Planning: Making It Easier for Those You Love – What are the steps you can take now to plan a funeral that will reflect your wishes, comfort loved ones and honor the God you love?  Learn about funeral planning from one who has planned many services!  Magic of Communication: It Can Change Your Life – Do you suffer from negative self-talk or low self-esteem? Are you frustrated with others and ready to improve your relationships? How one communicates with self and others is the key to a fulfilled life. In this session, a former illusionist will share a little neuroscience plus stories and secrets about how to create real magic in your life~ Led by Pastor Greg Dwyer.  1 session. (4/25)

Tough Questions People Ask About the Christian Faith – Why does God allow suffering? Why does God answer some prayers and not others? These are just a few of the tough questions that people ask Christians. Join this course to explore difficult questions and how the great minds of Christianity are answering them. American Sign Language: A Primer – Learning to Sign is not as hard as it appears.  In just one hour you can begin to experience the satisfaction of two-way conversation through this visual form of communication.  Four sessions won’t make you fluent, but it could open the door of interest and a desire to learn more.  Led by Pastor Ron Friedrich. 4 sessions.  Faith in the Workplace: How Does It Fit? – How does your faith influence the decisions you make and the actions you take in the workplace? Join this panel discussion with fellow members as they discuss how their faith influences their work in government, politics, business, law, medicine, and law enforcement.    Moderated by George Mannina. 4 sessions. Faith Walk Membership Information Seminar- What did Jesus say about being “members of the body” in the community of believers?  What are the sacraments and why do they matter?  What is Christianity in the Lutheran tradition?  Explore these and related questions in a small group setting where answers are found and friends are made.  For those new to St. Andrew, and those looking to renew and refresh!
