LWML Christmas Card Fund

LWML Christmas Card Fund

Though we can’t share greetings in the Commons this year, we can still join together with Lutheran Women in Mission (LWML) to help two local organizations working hard to serve our community in these challenging times. This year, all donations will be split between Stepping Stones Shelter and InterFaith WorksClick the button below to give online OR bring/mail a check payable to LWML with “Christmas Card Fund” in the memo line or on the envelope.  Thanks!

  • Stepping Stones Shelter was organized in 1982 as the first faith-based shelter in Montgomery County. The shelter provides support to homeless families with children in order to move them from crisis to a stable home environment by providing temporary food, shelter, and services in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. Stepping Stones promotes self-sufficiency, offering recipients a fresh start and hope for the future.
  • Interfaith Works is affiliated with 165 congregations focused on helping our neighbors in Montgomery County. Their programs provide food, shelter, clothing, emergency assistance, mentoring and more. The goal of Interfaith Works is to help families and individuals achieve stability and economic independence so they can lead fulfilling lives as members of our community.

These agencies are non-profits and the current COVID crisis has challenged their resources and programs to the limit.  A donation to the Christmas Card Tree Fund will help those less fortunate in Montgomery County.
