From Riki Schoppert, Director of Worship Arts …
In July, my husband and I celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary. I can say with certainty that there is no one else I’d rather be walking through this life with. At our wedding, we received two pieces of terrific advice: one from Pastor Lobien, who married us; and one from my dad. Pastor Lobien encouraged us to remember to celebrate. If things were rough, and we needed to dig to figure out what to celebrate, the fact that it might be a Tuesday and we were still together was enough. Yay for Tuesday! My Dad told us that, when we disagreed, whoever cared the most should win. It didn’t matter if they were right. I have to say, those words of wisdom have stood the test of time and so I share them with you. Find a reason to celebrate and don’t sweat the small stuff.
Rejoice in the Lord always! I will say it again-rejoice!
