Faith Walk 101
Information & Membership Seminar

Wednesdays, May 14 – June 4 at 7:00 pm

  • What did Jesus say about the church body and the importance of being “members of the body”?

  • What are the “sacraments” and how can they help me experience God in my daily life?

  • What does it mean to be a disciple of Christ – in Jesus’ time, and today?

Join Pastor Hricko and others to explore these and other related questions in a small group setting where answers are found and friends are made!

The Faith Walk 101 seminar includes basic teachings of Christianity in the Lutheran tradition, as well as information about the life we share in the family of St. Andrew.

The seminar is open to those new to our community, as well as those looking to renew their knowledge and refresh their spirit!  Although the seminar will prepare participants to unite with our congregation, a commitment to membership is not required to attend.

For more information or to register, please contact the church office at 301-384-4394 or my.standrew@verizon.net.

Help Military Families

As the new year begins, many are thinking of the soldiers and families who have sacrificed so much in service to our country and are wondering what they can do to help.  There are even emails floating around the internet encouraging folks to send cards to Walter Reed Army Medical Center, addressed to "A Recovering Soldier."

Brandon Goff, St. Andrew member and military doctor currently +treating soldiers at Walter Reed has passed along this advice.  While a thoughtful gesture, cards and gifts addressed to "A Recovering Soldier" or any other non-specific addressee, cannot be accepted at WRAMC.   Please pass the word, especially to those who are spreading these suggestions around the internet.  The cards can be saved for another purpose, but there are many other ways to help.
